Scott W. Sheen & Associates Investigates Batavia Chiropractor for Secret Recordings of Patients

Batavia, IL – November 10, 2025 – Scott W. Sheen & Associates, P.C. is actively investigating the case of David Hanson, owner of Hanson Family Chiropractic in Batavia, Illinois. Hanson has been charged with secretly recording more than 180 patients, many of whom were nude or partially nude, using hidden cameras placed throughout his office, including in a red-light therapy room. Prosecutors also allege that Hanson possessed and disseminated child sexual abuse material unrelated to his chiropractic practice.

Hanson was charged with:

  • Producing Child Pornography, Class X felony (5 counts)
  • Disseminating Child Pornography, Class X felony (3 counts)
  • Possessing Child Pornography, Class 2 felony (6 counts)
  • Unauthorized Video Recording of a Minor Through/Under the Clothes, Class 3 felony (3 counts)
